About

The name Dulcina means “sweet island” and is a nod to its origins with early British settlers. Built in 2013 by the owner, this private hillside villa was designed to sit gently within its surroundings, combining the elegance of traditional West Indian style with modern conveniences and comforts. Now available for holiday rentals, its location is one of the most enviable on the island, with 180 degree sweeping views across the Caribbean Sea to St Kitts on one side and the lush rainforest of Mount Nevis on the other. The villa is completely private and not overlooked, making it an unforgettable holiday destination.

Dulcina has quietly become one of the Caribbean’s most recognisable villas on screen. Its elegant design and breathtaking setting have made it a favourite with filmmakers, featuring in productions such as One Year Off, A Week in Paradise, Christmas in the Caribbean, The Island and Strictly Confidential. The villa has welcomed a host of international stars, including Elizabeth Hurley, Michael Jai White, Caroline Quentin and Nathalie Cox, all of whom stayed at Dulcina while filming on Nevis. With its cinematic backdrops, natural light and flowing indoor-outdoor spaces, it’s easy to see why this villa continues to attract directors, producers and actors alike.

While Dulcina is ideal for groups and families, there’s also a quiet, timeless quality here. It’s in the way the breeze moves through the veranda, the way the sunsets catch the sea and the way the garden seems to wrap around you. This is the kind of place you won’t want to leave – and one that is sure to stay with you long after you do.
